Endocrine Society Centennial Celebrations!
In 2016, our US members, the Endocrine Society, will celebrate their 100th year! From an initial 60 physicians, the society has grown into a truly global organisation representing 18,000 individual members from 122 countries in all areas of hormone science and clinical endocrinology. As part of their centennial celebrations next year, they will be developing a timeline highlighting achievements in the field of endocrinology over the last 100 years around the world. On behalf of the Endocrine Society, we would like to invite our Member Societies to contribute to this important historical record and impressive visual celebration of our field in one of two ways:

1. Suggest one key milestone in endocrinology that your society considers to be most important to your country in the last 100 years. For example, Discovery of Hormones, Nobel Prize winners, Major achievements, etc.

2. At the 100th Annual Meeting of the Endocrine Society – ENDO 2016, April 1-4, there will be a display comprising historical artefacts such as pictures, old papers, journals and physical items. Does your society have items of historical interest in its archives that it would be willing to loan for display at the centennial celebrations in Boston next year?

Please can we kindly ask you to discuss your societies contribution* with your committees and members and submit one suggestion from your office by emailing the attached form to members@isendo.org no later than Friday 6th November 2015. The final timeline will be a cornerstone of the Centennial celebrations which will be unveiled at ENDO 2016 (www.endocrine.org/endo-2016) and showcased online for all to access. Many thanks in advance for your consideration of our request, we look forward to your contributions!

ISE Executive Committee – Nominate your leaders.
Serving as an ISE Executive Committee member opens up unique opportunities to contribute to the shape and direction of the global endocrine community. Led by the Chair and Secretary Treasurer, the committee is responsible for ensuring ISE effectively delivers its mission and objectives. It is an important and rewarding leadership role and we thank your society in advance for careful consideration of its nomination for this prestigious international appointment. Eligible Member Societies will soon receive a Call for Nominations to elect 6 new representatives to join the ISE Executive Committee (2016-2020) following ICE/CSE 2016 in Beijing.
